POSITION SUMMARY

The Quality Technician will perform quality control inspections including the programming and operation of the CMM for production and prototype parts along with managing the quality recordkeeping.

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

  • Conduct quality control inspections including first piece inspection and in-process spot audits and final inspections using CMM, micrometers, calipers, hardness and surface testers and indicators
  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
  • Documentation and communication of quality inspections
  • Develop, maintain and generate CMM programs
  • Traveler management
  • Management of measurement tool library
  • Assist with internal audits
  • Any other duties assigned

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma along with 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing quality role.
  • Ability to record and document all quality-related information
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
  • Competent with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Familiarity with GDT
  • Basic math problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in the use of micrometers, calipers, hardness and surface testers, and indicators
  • Ability to analyze data and report findings
  • Working knowledge of ISO9001
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Dependability and strong teamwork ability
  • United States Citizenship/ITAR compliance required by contract

 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with CMM Manager software
  • Working knowledge of AS9100

 WORK ENVIRONMENT

Climate controlled shop

 TRAVEL

This position requires travel to another facility location
