Marketing Coordinator



The Marketing Coordinator for the Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence (IEE) is responsible for managing multiple concurrent projects and activities related to branding, communications, and marketing of the Institute. Reporting to the IEE’s Marketing Director, this position will:

  • Manage content generation for social media, online platforms, and print pieces
  • Help coordinate marketing aspects of programs and special events
  • Oversee dissemination of marketing materials via channels to desired target audiences and stakeholders
  • Track and analyze social media metrics to assess content performance and deliver on marketing goals
  • Implement all other aspects of the marketing strategy

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience with email and newsletter marketing platforms (e.g. Sales force Marketing Cloud)
  • Experience capturing and editing videos to highlight entrepreneur stories and events
  • Photography skills for event or content capture
  • Experience managing websites using WordPress or similar
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM systems
  • Ability to research content and resources relevant to small business owners
  • Research new trends and provide recommendations to expand our audience and reach

Job Summary

Coordinates marketing strategies and functions for University brands, services, and product lines working across multiple markets and channels while adhering to strict branding and style guidelines. Employs writing and graphic design skills to target specific audiences across various mediums using analytics and metrics to measure and improve results. Writes and adapts collateral copy; designs and produces marketing materials. Works with authors and acquisition editors, purchases advertising, and assists in market development strategies.


Essential Functions

Candidate must be able to effectively communicate with staff, stakeholders and media contacts both through written and oral communications.


Physical Effort

Candidate must also be able to independently travel to client locations throughout Western Pennsylvania for site visits, open houses, etc. Some evenings and weekends necessary.
