Summary
The Financial Services Specialist is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with customers while providing financial guidance and advice. The Financial Services Specialist must be comfortable interacting with customers, have excellent problem-solving and communication skills, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. The position is the face of the company, and a friendly, professional attitude is essential in building customer relationships. The Financial Services Specialist will have the opportunity to help customers with their financial needs and create lasting relationships with them. The person in this position must understand financial products and services and be able to build trust with our customers.

Essential Functions/Job Responsibilities

  • Greet customers upon arrival and provide prompt courteous service.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with customers by providing personal banking services.
  • Assist customers with their financial needs and provide advice on products and services.
  • Open accounts, process deposits and withdrawals, and handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  • Monitor and advise customers on their financial activities to ensure compliance with banking regulations.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate banking products and services.
  • Actively cross-sell banking products and services to increase customer satisfaction.
  • Stay informed about new products and services, monetary policy, and banking regulations.
  • Maintain customer records and update account information as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and professional workstation.
  • Adhere to all security procedures and regulations to minimize risk.
  • Monitor customer feedback and provide insights for product and process improvements.
  • Ensures compliance with established Bank policies and procedures. Demonstrates knowledge of, adherence to, monitoring and responsibility for compliance with state and federal regulations and related laws as they pertain to the Bank Secrecy Act in conjunction with the USA PATRIOT Act, Anti-Money Laundering and Customer Information Program.
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in financial services or a related field.
  • Knowledge of financial services regulations and procedures.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Must be highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Proficient in banking software applications and computer systems, including Microsoft Office applications.
