Learfield Amplify represents over 40 collegiate athletic departments, professional sports teams and related industry organizations nationwide, with more than 200 on-site sales personnel dedicated to serving these respective relationships. The company delivers a total revenue solution through staff development, high-value expertise, and engaged fan relationships. As the sports industry and fan behavior continues to evolve, Learfield Amplify also remains at the forefront of business intelligence through many of its national relationships as well as with Fanbase, powered by Learfield, leading to increased revenues for teams across the country.
Learfield Amplify is looking to add a high impact team member who will serve as a Leadership Annual Giving Officer as part of the Ahearn Fund team. In complete collaboration with the Ahearn Fund, this position will be committed through first class professionalism to grow philanthropic investment to support the goals of Kansas State Athletics and its student-athletes.
In this role you will work to achieve pre-defined KPIs centered around development activities and revenue for Kansas State Athletics. This role will report to the National Director of Development and work in close collaboration with Ahearn Fund leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently initiate outreach efforts to secure new donors, and renew and upgrade entry and mid-level annual giving prospects
  • Manage a portfolio of Leadership Annual Giving prospects, focusing on prospects rated up to $50,000.
  • Make at least 10-15 substantive contacts per month with an emphasis on quality personal visits (e.g. significant moves that advance a relationship)
  • Regularly conduct donor visits outside the office
  • Attend Kansas State Athletic events to engage with current and prospective donors
  • Travel as needed to visit current and prospective donors
  • Network at various community and corporate events including business after-hours, speaker series, etc.
  • Actively participate in prospecting meetings with Data Analytics Team and other regular Ahearn Fund meetings
  • Achieve and exceed annual revenue goals established by management
  • Achieve and exceed weekly activity and hustle metrics
  • Provide superior customer service to donors, prospects, and all fans of Kansas State Athletics
  • Work closely with the Ahearn Fund and Learfield Amplify National Director of Development to develop new ideas and new strategies toward fundraising initiatives and campaigns
  • Provide weekly revenue and activity reporting to Kansas State Athletics & Learfield National Director of Development

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience working in sales or development related field; University or sports related development experience preferable but not required
  • Superior communication skills, collaborative with strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Highest level of personal and professional integrity and ethics with strong customer service skills
  • Demonstrate a proven track record in sales and building quality relationships
  • Strong desire to learn about our business and grow your professional career
  • Effectively express ideas verbally and in writing
  • Independently take action beyond what is called for
  • Be able to generate original and imaginative solutions to business opportunities
  • Experience working with CRM systems such as Salesforce.com, Microsoft CRM, etc
  • Willingness and ability to work long hours, including holidays and weekends as required
  • Willingness and ability to travel
