Overview

The Quality Control Specialist III performs a review of documents used during maintenance (travelers, inspection sheets, discrepancy sheets, approved replacement parts, etc.) as well as inspection of the article to ensure that the product meets acceptable standards of quality and is in air worthy condition. At completion of inspection, documentation and updates will be provided into Customer Portals.



Responsibilities

  • Completes inspections of all product
  • Keeps accurate, neat, and legible records of the work performed through inspection standards.
  • Conducts audits of work orders, testing data, and component material certifications.
  • Mentors technicians on effective documentation.
  • Performs inspection on CMM and other coordinate measuring devices
  • Assist with Gage Calibration
  • Promotes high standards of quality through instruction and by setting the example.
  • Perform AS9102 first article inspections

Qualifications



  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 5 years component inspection experience
  • Proficient in using the various types of hand inspection equipment and visual inspection aids appropriate for the article being inspected.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints, GD&T, test specifications, Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) use and other inspection related documentation as required,
  • Must be able to interpret data from CMM
  • Inspectors must understand, read, and write English
  • Must have ability to meet NO-FORN criteria
  • Proficient in the creation of AS9102 forms
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to effectively prioritize tasks
  • Strong computer skills. Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word. Proficient with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
