Position Summary:
Aegis Aerospace is currently seeking a Software Applications Engineer to join our team supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) under the IRES contract at Redstone Arsenal. This role is critical in supporting and maintaining a suite of enterprise applications in a dynamic, secure environment.

Key Responsibilities:
The candidate will:

• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for the following applications:

• CAFM (Java/Tomcat)
• CDRLvue (Microsoft Visual Studio, ASPX, SQL database)
• Escheduler (Microsoft Visual Studio, ASPX, SQL database)
• Empower (Perl scripting, GUI, SQL database)

• Troubleshoot and maintain Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS).
• Maintain and optimize Java and Tomcat environments.
• Develop and support SQL database backends.
• Implement and support Single Sign-On (SSO) with CAC authentication.
• Utilize and maintain Cloud Azure and AWS platforms.
• Support late-night maintenance windows for patching and system updates.
• Effectively manage conflicting requests and priorities with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrate a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must have 5 or more years of direct software engineering experience
• Must have experience supporting Microsoft IIS
• Must have experience with Java and Tomcat
• Must have experience working in both Azure and AWS cloud environments
• Must have experience implementing and supporting SSO with CAC authentication
• Must have, or obtain within 3 months of start date, a current DoD 8570 Level II Certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE)
• Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience developing with Microsoft Visual Studio
• Experience designing and maintaining SQL database backends

Compensation:
Salary Range: $110,000.00 – $160,000.00 annually. Final compensation is based on experience, education, and directly relevant certifications.
