Project Manager, Construction - Military veterans preferred

Join Brixmor as a Project Manager, Construction, in our Carlsbad, CA office to oversee redevelopment, tenant improvement, and new construction projects at our properties. You’ll manage all project phases, ensuring timely delivery within budget while collaborating with tenants and consultants. This role demands strong construction expertise, communication skills, and the ability to juggle multiple projects. Regular regional travel is required, with potential work outside the region based on workload.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction projects, including redevelopment, tenant improvements, and new builds, covering:
  • Project planning and estimating
  • Lease exhibit preparation and negotiation
  • Plan reviews and entitlement management
  • Consultant hiring and coordination
  • Bid, award, and contract negotiation/administration
• Ensure projects meet lease commitments, budgets, and schedules
• Track and deliver multiple tenant improvement projects on time
• Support capital improvement projects as needed
• Assist with projects outside the primary region when required

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, or architecture (preferred)
• 5+ years construction management experience, or 3 years construction plus 2-3 years architectural/engineering experience
• Strong estimating, scheduling, and contract administration skills
• Ability to read architectural and civil/site plans
• Familiarity with bid review and qualification processes
• Excellent communication and computer skills
• Retail commercial construction experience preferred
• CADD knowledge desirable but not required

The base salary range for this position has been established as $90,000-$110,000 PLUS participation in our annual cash bonus plan. This salary range represents the Company’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
