SUMMARY

The position supports a broad range of disciplines include providing an exemplary customer experience by answering customer questions while determining their needs and resolve issues and concerns the customer may have. The successful candidate will be able to elevate company standards, achieve sales goals, and meet customer expectations.

 

DUTIES 

  • Answer phone calls in a polite and courteous manner
  • Engage the customer through conversation to determine the customer's needs.
  • Assess the customer's needs and provides assistance and information on billing questions, service inquiries or other frequently asked questions. 
  • Provide product knowledge to customers through the features, values, and benefits of each product or service.
  • Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options.
  • Suggestively sell additional items and services that the customer may not have anticipated they will need.
  • Actively participate in all programs, events, trainings, and procedures that drive sales or help represent Foster Fuels.
  • Ensure that all customers receive excellent service through prompt and courteous service.
  • Answer and return calls in a timely manner.
  • Be aware of current promotional items and the correct pricing.
  • Assist in scheduling installation service at customer locations as needed.
  • Contact Customer/Contractor to schedule service if necessary.
  • Perform other office related duties as assigned.

 

KEY CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES

      •  Demonstrated phone etiquette with the ability to answer and return calls in a timely manner

      •  Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

      •  Excellent team relationship skills

      •  Basic understanding of sales principles and customer services practices 

      •  Strong customer service focus

 

KEY CANDIDATE SKILLS

  • High School degree
  • Minimum 2 years of proven work experience as in a Sales or Customer Service role.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)   
  • Knowledge of CRM or industry management systems 

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit for long periods; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work environment will consist of mix of phone calls and computer related tasks to assist with the customer experience.  Customer inquiries can fluctuate based on seasonal demands which can also affect office hour requirements.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
