Athletic Trainer



Attending to the needs of student athletes in area of recovery, emergency response, and injury prevention. Must carry certification (BOC Certification; ATC Certification; CPR/AED/First Aid Certification. Athletic Trainer will be responsible for establishing good working relationships and willing to help out with departmental needs. Provides comprehensive care to student-athletes on campus and at game venues. Assists in supervision of all facets of the Athletics Training Program. Coordinates medical procedures and physicals.

*This position has an anticipated start date of August 1, 2025.

Essential Functions
  • Provides comprehensive care and assistance to student-athletes. Administers first aid treatment to athletes. Attends to injuries and illnesses on campus and at game venues.
  • Conducts testing, prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation procedures. Makes medical referrals upon examinations. Organizes physician visits and evaluation procedures.
  • Consults with others regarding the rehabilitation and return of injured athletes. Distributes injury, progress, and status reports to coaches and physicians.
  • Manages, plans, and supervises all aspects of the athletic training program alongside the Head Athletic Trainer.
  • Coordinates routine entrance and exit physicals for athletes.
  • Researches and recommends innovative techniques, programs, and equipment for departmental enhancement.
  • Maintains proper safety standards and adheres to all set policies and guidelines.
  • Ensures attainment of fundamental inventory and keeps necessary records and files.

Very physical to include walking, running, playing sports, traveling.
