This position for Traveling Project Manager takes full responsibility for a variety of electrical needs, from marketing through project close out and customer follow up. Qualified candidates will have a successful track record demonstrating a complete understanding of project management responsibilities, including profit, supervision, customer relations and fiscal and contract management. This person will spend the first 4 month traveling to different job sites in Idaho and Wyoming before settling in Northern Louisiana to run lead on a joint venture project.


Responsibilities include:

  • Project planning, execution, job cost tracking, and job closure
  • Provide monthly project status detail and percent of completion reports
  • Detailed take-off and estimating for electrical service, tenant improvement, light commercial and light industrial work
  • Marketing & building profitable jobs
  • Decision making responsibility concerning project cost, time and performance
  • Visit and interact with multiple teams across multiple states & projects.
  • Be responsible for safety, quality, schedule, and fiscal health of large complex projects.
  • Develop and participate lessons learned and training materials for applicable projects.
  • Cross-selling of other company operations through fully integrated solutions
  • Interfacing with contractors, vendors, and in-house operations
  • Coordinate and direct work force
  • Supporting an injury free work environment and safety culture


Experience and skills required:

  • 5 years construction project experience in the regional market with proven record of successful relationships and marketing skills, preferred
  • Prior experience with design/build, preferred
  • Superior knowledge of electrical codes and construction methods
  • Demonstrated ability to read, understand, and write contracts
  • Experienced in writing detailed scope proposals
  • Strong computer skills – Excel, Word, estimating software (ConEst a plus)
  • Excellent people, communication and negotiating skills
  • Automation and Controls Experience
  • Joint Venture experience

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary range for this position is $105,000-$155,000 annually.

Peridium of $175/day Monday-Friday

Travel and Housing covered during the initial training period

Opportunity for a discretionary year-end bonus.

401k with a 40% employer match (up to federal limit.)
