Executive Assistant, Office of University Counsel
The Executive Assistant serves as the primary support to the Senior Vice Chancellor and Chief Legal Officer (SVC-CLO) and the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Policy Development and Management (AVC/PDM), acts as liaison with Executive Assistants in other units, and ensures confidentiality of high-level, sensitive information. Under the supervision of the SVC-CLO, the Executive Assistant manages office workflow and assists with administrative goals and priorities for the areas reporting to the SVC-CLO.
The successful candidate must be highly organized, extremely detail oriented, self-motivated, able to handle confidential information, as well as have a demonstrated ability to respond effectively to changing workloads and priorities. Must have the ability to manage multiple assignments and work with people across the University simultaneously. In addition, successful candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication and possess the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of constituent groups such as senior leaders, peers, Board of Trustee Members and outside counsel.
Serves as the primary support to executive level roles and/or departments and acts as liaison and ensures confidentiality of high-level, sensitive information. Manages office workflow. Assists with strategic planning processes and administrative goals and priorities. Prepares budgetary functions and plans special events.
• Serves as the primary support to SVC-CLO and the AVC/PDM, providing legal secretarial support and performing administrative tasks, to include preparing material for executives’ signature and distribution as needed.
• Prepares a wide variety of documents under supervision, including a variety of reports, presentations, speech scripts, letters, and other correspondences.
• Manages executives’ calendar, acting as the executives’ representative and principal liaison for scheduling matters, including with internal and external stakeholders, employees, executives, trustees, faculty, students, donors, alumni, and the public.

Duties are primarily sedentary. Must be able to use a computer at a desk or similar workstation, and travel to on-campus meetings as needed.
