REPORTS TO: TENx10 Senior Director of Systems and Strategy 

 

Brief Description:
The TENx10 Collaboration is a national discipleship movement with the mission to make faith matter more for ten million young people over the next ten years. We are a small, fast-moving, creative, and energetic remote team that works across ecumenical, cultural, and denominational lines to pursue our courageous mission.

The TENx10 Director of Operations is a hands-on systems builder and strategic operator who will design, implement, and manage organizational systems used daily by a fully remote team of nearly 20 people. Working in close collaboration with the Senior Director of Systems & Strategy, this role will lead operational execution across infrastructure, project management, and finance while driving continuous improvement and efficiency across the organization.

This role ensures smooth internal operations and system stewardship, and oversees organizational administration and fiscal management including fund development support. The Director of Operations is a strategic thinker and skilled administrator with a proven ability to manage and optimize systems over time. The role requires agility, cross-sector collaboration, and the ability to lead a fast-growing, innovative organization.

Essential Functions

  • Operational Strategy and System Management
    • Develop, manage, and continually optimize workflow processes that promote internal team health, operational efficiency, and strategic alignment
    • Manage and improve the day-to-day office systems and service infrastructure, ensuring backend processes consistently support engagement and coordination
    • Monitor performance of systems and operations, proactively identifying inefficiencies and leading improvements
    • Deepen, expand, and implement the overall strategy of TENx10 in collaboration with the Executive Director and Senior Directors
    • Embed diversity, equity, and inclusion into operational practices, ensuring people of color are centered across systems and structures
    • Ensure alignment across projects and workstreams, removing operational barriers and promoting momentum and cohesion
    • Build, implement, and own the day-to-day management of project management and CRM systems (e.g., Monday.com, Airtable). This includes data architecture, workflow automation, user experience design, and adoption strategies across the team. Serve as the primary builder and troubleshooter, while equipping others for effective use.
  • Fiscal Oversight and Administration
    • In partnership with the Senior Director of Strategy and Systems, manage TENx10’s financial operations, including a $5.5M budget, budget reporting, grants management, and compliance with Fuller Seminary policies
    • Provide regular financial updates and strategic insights to the Executive and Senior Directors
    • Manage and maintain the full lifecycle of contract and invoicing systems—ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and ease of use
    • Uphold excellence in financial stewardship, reporting, and team accountability

  • Institutional Liaison
    • Serve as the main point of contact with Fuller Seminary’s support departments (Finance, HR, Legal, IT), ensuring smooth collaboration and compliance
  • Operations Leadership
    • Provide executive and daily management of TENx10 Operations Team members and/or vendors
    • Lead operations team meetings, manage project timelines, oversee goal-setting and performance tracking, and establish team priorities
    • Support the Senior Directors in recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and supervising project staff and contractors to meet project goals

Knowledge and Skills Required

  • PMP and/or MBA preferred
  • 10–15 years of operational experience, preferably in a fast-growing organization
  • Strong technical aptitude and hands-on experience with no-code tools (e.g., Airtable, Zapier, Slack integrations), project management platforms, and workflow automation.
  • Demonstrated success in designing and optimizing systems that support remote teams, including process mapping, documentation, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Strong technical aptitude; ability to build and manage systems and train others in their use
  • Proven ability to sustain and manage operational systems to ensure long-term functionality, consistency, and strategic alignment
  • Exceptional interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability manage vendor relationships or direct reports as needed.
  • Broad technology fluency; experience integrating data across platforms (e.g., linking CRM to project management or communication tools) is a plus.
  • Experience with AGILE or similar project management frameworks
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, with attention to detail and the abibility to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Deep commitment to servant leadership and collaboration
  • Demonstrated excellence in inclusion and equity, especially within ethnically and racially diverse ministry contexts
  • Background in youth/family ministry or denominational/training organizations preferred

Pay Scale: 

  • Salary range the seminary expects to pay: $70,000 - $78,000 annually USD
