The Humanities Department is seeking applications for an Adjunct Lecturer position in History beginning August, 2025. The successful candidate will:

  • Teach teach two to three (2-3) sections of US and/or Global History


Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

  • Masters in History or a closely related field
  • College teaching experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctorate in History, or a closely related field
  • Experience teaching Maritime History



Additional Information:

Classification/Salary Range: The Adjunct Lecturer position is a part-time UUP position. Effective July 1, 2025, the minimum three-credit course or equivalent rate will be $4,500. Special Notes: This is a part time per semester or academic year appointment. Fair Labor Standard Acts (FLSA) Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously.
