Company Background

Catalyst Acoustics Group is the leading independent designer and manufacturer of engineered acoustical solutions. Our products enhance employee health and safety, reduce noise distractions, increase productivity, improve sound quality, and ensure speech privacy across diverse institutional, commercial, and industrial environments.

We possess deep technical, engineering, and application expertise, offering the industry's broadest selection of innovative, specification-driven noise and vibration control solutions tailored to meet unique end-user performance requirements.

Our broad mix of premier customers includes manufacturer’s representatives (reps), dealers/distributors, OEMs, and direct sales. Our network of over 1,000 reps, built over decades, provides a distinct competitive advantage that is difficult to replicate. We maintain collaborative, long-standing relationships with key influencers, including acoustical consultants, specifiers, sub-contractors, mechanical engineers, and architects, enabling us to retain leading market positions.

We operate in a large and fast-growing market, projected to grow at a 6-8% CAGR over the next five years. Our products are essential and increasingly adopted due to trends such as growing awareness of the health and safety benefits of noise control, emerging use cases, regulatory mandates/codes, and design trends like the shift to open-air floor plans.

Catalyst Acoustics Group boasts an attractive financial profile with sustained long-term organic growth, driven demand for retrofit and renovation (approximately 70% of demand), strong margins, and free cash flow with accelerating momentum. We have a proven acquisition platform, having completed nine acquisitions since 2019, with a strong pipeline of actionable opportunities for further consolidation in a highly fragmented market.

We have an established national footprint with seven manufacturing facilities and our headquarters in Agawam, MA, with a non-union workforce. The company was acquired by private equity firm KPS in November 2024, with the intention to support the executive team and capitalize the business for significant growth.
