The Building Maintenance person is responsible for maintaining the property and facility. Duties include a range of maintenance and repair tasks, including carpentry, lawn maintenance, electrical and safety repairs.

Responsibilities

• Performing quality checks on HVAC, air conditioning, plumbing and electrical systems
• Testing and recommending new maintenance products
• Collaborating with other departments, contractors, and vendors as needed to complete maintenance tasks
• Keeping documents of inspections and problems
• Doing landscaping, outdoor maintenance and pest control
• Keeping an inventory of cleaning and repair supplies
• Maintaining plant floor cleanliness in designated areas
• Welding is a plus
• Ability to drive a hi-lo and operate cranes and boom lifts
• Maintaining logs of maintenance activities, repairs, an inspections to track progress and identify potential issues
• Adhering to relevant building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.

• Maintaining an adequate inventory of supplies and equipment needed for maintenance tasks
• Ensuring the building is safe for occupants, addressing any safetyhazards, and maintains security systems
• Maintaining cleanliness of common areas, removing trash regularly, and keeping the building in a tidy and presentable condition.
• Basic carpentry, electrical and mechanical knowledge
• Preventative maintenance and small repairs
• Use of hand tool knowledge
• Other duties as assigned

• Maintain and repair facility as directed by supervision

• Ability to operate industrial equipment including fork lift, hi-lo, scissor lift

• Familiar with Industrial safety guidelines

• High School graduation or equivalent required

• Ability to perform mechanical repairs either personally or in a previous position
