Job Summary:
The Senior Benefits Specialist is responsible for administering the company’s Health and Financial Wellness programs. This includes ensuring regulatory compliance, providing member support and continuously improving the member experience. This role also provides leadership to a small Benefits Administration team and plays a key role in driving process improvements and strategic benefit initiatives.
This individual will take ownership of relationships with third-party administrators (TPAs) and other benefits partners. They will contribute to plan design evaluation, benchmarking, and ensure the competitiveness and compliance of our offerings.
Essential Functions:
Requirements, Education and Experience:
1. 5 years Benefits Administration experience preferred.
2. Associate’s degree required, bachelor’s degree in HR, Business or related field advantageous.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with the ability to organize, analyze, and manipulate data effectively.
4. Demonstrated ability to engage members and drive continuous improvement with a service-oriented and analytical approach.
5. Experience working in union and non-union environments preferred.
6. Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
7. Legal right to work in the U.S.

Travel:
Position may require travel by personal vehicle to offices throughout the state of New York and New England based on the needs of the business.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers. This is mostly sedentary, outside of travel, in an office space. The abilities to sit at a desk, frequent walking, bending, or standing, as necessary, are required.
