DHL Express has an exciting opportunity for you to join the team as the Commercial Manager in Jamaica, where you will play a crucial role in driving growth in shipments, revenue, and market share. Your mission is to enhance customer loyalty and build a high-performing commercial team that exceeds our revenue and profitability goals

Key Responsibilities:

Head (Strategic Thinking and Planning)

  • Develop and implement dynamic commercial plans that align with our focus strategy and market opportunities to boost DHL International (TDI) business.
  • Create an effective lead management process to ensure a steady flow of potential customers into our sales pipeline.
  • Design a comprehensive channel strategy that simplifies the customer experience with DHL.
  • Tailor our pricing strategy to meet the diverse needs of different customer segments.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction weekly and take swift action to win back lost customers.
  • Collaborate with DHL leadership and other departments to retain customers and enhance service quality.
  • Leverage global sales teams to grow major accounts and conduct regular business reviews.
  • Maintain high-quality data in our systems to support effective communication strategies.
  • Structure roles to align with global best practices and ensure the right people are in the right positions.
  • Monitor team performance against key commercial metrics and encourage a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Develop succession plans to ensure business continuity and nurture talent for future roles.

  • Strive to exceed customer expectations, especially for SMEs and major accounts, ensuring they see DHL as their top choice.
  • Ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new customers.
  • Promote DHL’s reputation as an industry leader through effective public relations.

  • Provide ongoing training and development to address skill gaps and ensure team readiness.
  • Coach team members to replicate successful behaviours and drive results.

  • Drive customer acquisition, especially targeting small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
  • Forge strong partnerships to expand our market reach and optimize service costs.
  • Recruit top talent and implement rigorous screening processes to find the best candidates.
  • Promote the use of global sales processes and tools to enhance efficiency and customer loyalty.

  • Execute global and regional sales cycles with enthusiasm, clearly communicating targets and measuring performance.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 8-10 years of experience in Sales Management or a related field, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Proficient in computer skills database and web-based applications
  • Work on special assignments to support DHL strategies and initiatives
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; fluency in English is required.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.

  • Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to present solutions clearly.
