Position Summary:

This job opportunity is for a new facility in Centennial!

Oversee the establishment and operation of a manufacturing facility, addressing project-related issues in collaboration with Engineering, Customer Key Account Managers, and Technology Managers. Work closely with the VP of Manufacturing to identify the most efficient and profitable strategies for project completion. Lead by example to set the desired tone and pace for the facility.

This position will be responsible for establishing a new high-volume facility within MFCP, including implementing standardized manufacturing procedures, hiring high-performing personnel, providing thorough training on procedures including quality, and implementing new business strategies.

Primary Duties:

  • Responsible for hiring, training, coaching all employee personnel including accountability for performance issues.
  • Oversee the integration of standardized manufacturing tools, incorporating light automation and quality control tracking systems to ensure scalability and reliability.
  • Collaborate with engineering, IT, and operations teams to design and implement cutting-edge factory solutions tailored to organizational goals.
  • Production Metric – Manage and track the key performance indicators of the manufacturing environment as defined by the Director of Engineering.
  • Set and project a positive team atmosphere, demonstrate strong leadership skills, and communicate professionally and positively with all customers, coworkers, and employees.
  • Engage in communication with Key Account Managers to report lead-times, status updates, and to listen to their concerns or needs.
  • Daily communication to VP of Manufacturing with needs, status, concerns, etc.
  • Ensure all procedures and processes are being followed and tasks are completed as committed to customers.
  • Create and manage processes, make suggestions on how to improve existing processes.
  • Staffing – Manage production personnel administrative activities such as work schedules, timecards, sick time, vacations. Suggests needs of additional personnel or disciplinary actions.
  • Responsible for coordinating service and maintenance of all tools and equipment in the location.
  • Complete all required paperwork in a timely manner and conduct annual employee performance reviews.
  • Comply with and enforce all company rules, safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Oversee inventory and communicate stocking needs to Supply Chain group.

Basic Requirements:

  • Must be over 21 with a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Understand, develop and drive basic manufacturing practices.
  • Exhibit excellent written and oral communication and strong relationship-building skills.
  • Attract, develop, and align top talent, understanding that engaged employees are key to success.
  • Be detail-oriented with solid organizational skills, able to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Have strong computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and willingness to learn new software programs. Experience with Epicor Prophet 21 is a plus.
  • Be physically present in the factory to perform job functions in a collaborative team environment.
  • Maintain company-owned assets and equipment responsibly.
  • Hold a 4-year degree or equivalent work experience with solid business acumen. Complete required training courses for proper product knowledge.
  • Read and interpret documents such as requests for quotations, purchase orders, vendor quotations, drawings, catalog data, operating and maintenance instructions, and process manuals.
  • Speak effectively in front of internal and external customers and avoid slang or foul language.
  • Lead with emotional intelligence, valuing active listening, strong communication, and creating an open and collaborative work environment.
  • Be self-motivated, persistent, and dependable.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills with a proactive approach to project management.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Effective presentation skills and ability to respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers.
  • Multi-trade experience including hydraulic, gas/air, and electrical systems.
  • Working knowledge of P21 ERP and Tour De Force desired.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Job requires occasionally lifting objects up to 75 pounds, bending to retrieve equipment, parts, hose reels, to perform pressure testing and to push, pull or slide heavy objects.

  • Standing for long periods of time while cutting, crimping, blowing out, tagging, and plugging hoses.

  • Frequent repetitive grasping, twisting, pushing, and pulling use of the hands. Occasionally use hydraulic crimping equipment, saws, pressure testing stand, small power tools and various other hand tools.

  • Some materials or processes used in hose production may generate odors.

  • Hose production is in a non-air-conditioned area of our facility which may experience high or low seasonal temperatures.

Salary:

$95,000 - $110,000/annually, depending on experience.
