The University of South Alabama’s department of Leadership and Teacher Education of is seeking to hire a Secretary V. Interested candidates should apply to be considered.
Essential Functions

These are the job duties required of the position.

Essential Functions
  • Prepares correspondence, course materials, reports, and other documents using a PC.
  • Answers telephones and emails; greets and routes visitors.
  • Utilizes Microsoft Office, Google Tools, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Banner Finance and Student Record System to access departmental and student information, as needed.
  • Enters faculty load and compensation (FLAC) information for part-time faculty.
  • Prepares part-time faculty appointment letters.
  • Prepares faculty load reports.
  • Maintains department files and databases including copies of course syllabi, and prepares and processes memo for dissertation committee and comprehension exam assignments.
  • Creates class schedules in Banner.
  • Prepares and submits schedule maintenance forms and curriculum action forms.
  • Utilizes Concur to document/allocate faculty travel and process invoices.
  • Enters purchase requisitions and assists with textbook orders.
  • Assists students with course overrides.
  • Reviews budget and keeps Chair updated.
  • Makes arrangements for departments and program meetings.
  • Takes minutes at meetings and prepares for final distribution.
  • Regular and prompt attendance.
  • Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required.
  • Related duties as required.
