Responsibilities

We are looking for a Benefits Analyst to join our team!  This role contributes value through the administration, analysis, communication, education, process improvement, and compliance of our U.S.-based benefit programs.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the day-to-day administration and support of our company paid and voluntary benefit offerings; management and oversight of our leave of absence (LOA) programs; analysis, identification and reporting of benefit utilization and cost trends; assessing of program competitiveness; developing and delivering effective benefit related communications and presentations; serving as subject matter expert on assigned employee benefits for internal customers, vendors, auditors, etc.; and assisting with special projects and other duties as assigned.

 

The successful candidate should have a solid understanding of different benefits packages, data analytics and reporting, exceptional organization and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.  If you are passionate about benefits administration, analytics, continuous learning and improvement, we would love to hear from you!

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Program Oversight & Administration – Responsible for the day-to-day administration and support of all assigned benefit programs.  Management and oversight of our leave of absence (LOA) programs.  Serves as liaison to organization’s benefits call center.  Maintains effective relationships with vendors and consultants ensuring adherence to contractual obligations, invoice processing, funding in partnership with payroll, treasury, and vendors.   
  • Research and Data Analysis – Analysis of benefit program utilization, costs, competitiveness, providing key insights and action-oriented recommendations for change, improvements and enhancements to current programs or opportunities for new programs/products.  Provides clear, concise and effective reporting.
  • Communication & Education – Effectively communicate benefits information to employees, including program updates and policy changes, new employee orientation, wellbeing topics, answering/resolving, benefits questions/issues.  Provide education to administrative employees on all required components of benefits programs and policies.
  • Process and System Improvements - Assess, recommend, and implement process and system improvements.
  • Wellness Initiatives - Creates ongoing employee well-being communication content and develops/administers wellness initiatives, as assigned.
  • Compliance – Ensure benefits programs comply with applicable Federal and State laws, regulations, and generally accepted industry standards.  Complete and/or support annual benefit filings and benefit program audits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or related discipline preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant, progressive employee benefits administration experience.
  • Strong analysis and reporting skills, coupled with ability to create effective, concise materials (i.e., presentations) for different levels in the organization.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience with HRIS platforms, Oracle HCM Cloud preferred
  • Knowledge and application of federal and state employee benefit regulations (ERISA, HIPAA, FMLA, etc.) preferred.
  • General Benefit, leave of absence/Disability, and financial well-being knowledge preferred.
  • Work in person – cubicle setting
  • Some travel required (<10%)
  • Driver’s License required
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus
