Description:

Job Title: Receiving Supervisor
Location: Aludyne – Columbus, Georgia

Position Summary:

Aludyne is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Receiving Supervisor to oversee warehouse and logistics operations at our Columbus, Georgia facility. This role is responsible for supervising all inbound and outbound shipping and receiving activities, while ensuring compliance with inventory control procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a solid understanding of transportation and warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise all shipping and receiving activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of incoming and outgoing materials.
  • Allocate time and resources as follows:
    • Transportation operations – 50%
    • Shipping activities – 35%
    • Receiving activities – 15%
  • Ensure adherence to First In, First Out (FIFO) procedures and maintain proper documentation for shipments.
  • Oversee lift truck drivers and enforce compliance with all safety regulations.
  • Communicate with customers and suppliers to coordinate shipments and maintain high levels of customer service.
  • Collaborate with the Logistics and Planning Manager on order forecasting and production planning.
  • Monitor and respond to changes in customer schedules; notify relevant departments of any adjustments.
  • Distribute production orders and labels to Line Leaders to ensure timely fulfillment.
  • Maintain communication with Maintenance and Management to address equipment service needs and reduce downtime.
  • Train new employees in shipping and receiving protocols.
  • Review and manage shipment releases, foreign shipments, and delivery schedules.
  • Prepare and transmit EDI (Advanced Shipment Notices) within 30 minutes of truck departures.
  • Track delivery performance and follow up on issues as needed.
  • Ensure correct handling and organization of raw product and finished goods bins.
  • Create and manage shipping documents for returnable and empty supplier bins.
  • Resolve customer concerns, including disputing unfavorable ratings.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior supervisory experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment required.
