Job Title: Senior Information Team Lead

Location: On-site for either Albuquerque, NM or Las Vegas, NV at National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Headquarters (HQ).

Clearance: Active Department of Energy (DOE) Q or Secret Clearance

Citizenship: U.S. citizen and able to pass required background investigations

Compensation: $120,000.00 - $160,000.00; salary depending on years of relevant professional experience, related skill set, professional certifications and educational background. Exempt status.

AttainX is seeking a highly skilled and experience individual to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial to ensuring the security and compliance of software development processes. The Senior Information Team Lead is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing a team of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) engaged in Cybersecurity Information Assurance (IA) activities for the NNSA Office of Chief Information Officer (OCIO). This individual will provide management and technical direction, ensuring compliance with federal requirements, contractual obligations and external audit standards. The role requires close collaboration with Information System Security Officers (ISSOs), the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) and the Authorizing Official Designated Representative (AODR) to optimize resource allocation and management.

Job Duties:

  • Lead, mentor and manage a team of information assurance SMEs.
  • Provide management support to ISSOs, ISSM and AODR, ensuring effective resource allocation and operational excellence.
  • Develop, document, organize and communication internal IA processes in alignment with federal regulations and contractual requirements.
  • Conduct assessments and reviews of internal processes to ensure readiness for external audits and compliance with agency OCIO and federal stakeholder requirements.
  • Oversee daily IA operations to maintain continuous compliance and security posture.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact (POC) for IA activities with federal stakeholders, including the agency of OCIO.
  • Prepare and present reports, findings and recommendations to executive leadership and external auditors as required.
  • Provide strategic direction and operational oversight for all IA activities, ensuring alignment with organizational and federal objectives.
  • Oversee the full Risk Management Framework (RMF) lifecycle, including system categorization, control selection and tailoring, implementation, assessment, authorization and continuous monitoring.
  • Develop, document, organize and maintain internal policies, processes and procedures subject to federal requirements, contractual obligations and audit standards.
  • Contribute to enterprise cybersecurity policy governance, including the development of control inheritance models and crosswalks between federal control sets.

Minimum Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology (IT), cybersecurity or related field of study
  • Professional certification in accordance with the Department of Defense (DoD) 8140
    • For example, Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
    • Or ability to obtain certification within six months of hire or contract start
  • Proven experience leading cybersecurity or IA teams with a preference for federal or defense sector experience
  • Experience supporting classified and unclassified network environments
  • Expertise in project and program management with at least 15 years of experience within the federal government community

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in computer science, IT, cybersecurity or related field of study
