Job Opportunity: Quality Technician III

Reports to: Quality Manager

Job Location: Spartronics; 2333 Reach Rd; Williamsport, PA 17703


At Spartronics, the Quality Technician III is a senior-level role that provides leadership in inspection, continuous improvement initiatives, supplier quality interactions, and quality system compliance. This role ensures alignment with industry standards, including ISO 9001, AS9100, and ISO 13485, and mentors junior quality team members.


What a Day Looks Like:

  • Lead advanced inspections, including high-complexity and final product evaluations.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to address quality issues and ensure proper documentation.
  • Mentor junior technicians and serve as subject matter expert on inspection practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects and maintain audit readiness.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100, and ISO 13485 standards through effective quality system management
Requirements:

Required Qualifications

  • Education- Associate degree or higher in quality, engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a regulated manufacturing quality environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of inspection techniques and quality system auditing.
  • Demonstrated experience with supplier quality or internal auditing.
  • Understanding of ISO 9001, AS9100, and ISO 13485 compliance standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification as an internal auditor or Six Sigma Green Belt.
  • Experience supporting regulatory audits and supplier assessments.

  • Leadership impact on team performance and compliance metrics.
  • Resolution time for supplier and internal quality issues.
  • Successful implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Audit outcomes and contribution to quality system effectiveness.

Physical Requirements / Essential Functions

  • Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods during inspections.
  • Manual dexterity and visual acuity required for fine detail work.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Work in manufacturing environment with potential exposure to ESD-sensitive devices.
  • Use of PPE and adherence to safety procedures as required.
