Description:

The Inside Sales Representative is the primary interface between kSARIA's customers and the internal organization. The Inside Sales Representative will effectively communicate the status of the request with the customer through the proposal process and until an award has been made. The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for gathering data from external sources and internal functional areas and coordinating communications throughout the proposal process in the form of general updates, modifications, and data requests. Strict attention to detail is needed to close out actions and ensure customer satisfaction. The Inside Sales Rep will report to the Strategic Account Manager.

Position Profile for the Inside Sales Representative:

  • Field incoming customer Requests for Quote (RFQ), Requests for Proposal (RFP), Requests for Information (RFI) and other related communications and provide responses via written correspondence and telephone contact.
  • Enter new inquiries into the company internal database for tracking throughout the quoting process and maintain document repositories for customer-provided information and related proposal information.
  • Prepare responses to customer requests for services with established pricing.
  • Create daily and weekly reports to communicate the status of ongoing proposal activities to brief status senior management.
  • Proactively engage with customers on a weekly basis to follow up and ascertain status on aging quotes and proposals to determine status likelihood of award (Pwin).
  • Enter customer orders, confirm order receipt and delivery dates, and manage the contract review and sign-off process.
  • Manage various customer portals and monitor the portals for incoming orders and complete company representations and certifications (reps & certs) required by our customers.
  • Work with all internal functional managers to develop a cohesive response to customer requests for order status, order changes, and schedule expedites.
  • Support Business Development efforts, including preparation of contract proposal documents and attending trade shows and periodic customer visits.
  • Periodically search and review public sources for open solicitations for new sales opportunities that align with company strategic objectives.
  • Other duties as they arise to support the sales and business development.
Requirements:
  • Experience operating in a Project Management environment and understanding of the full Project Management life cycle
  • Proficient in Deltek Costpoint software for Government Contractors or related ERP software.
  • Ability to work independently and have highly professional verbal, writing and interpersonal skills
  • Effective collaboration skills
  • Extremely tenacious and relentless to closeout customer required actions as timely aspossible
  • Comfortable with exposure to highly confidential information
  • Willing, enthusiastic, and proactive in taking on tasks of any nature to balance the workload of others throughout the organization
  • Strong Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Microsoft Office skills
  • Willingness to learn other software tools to continue to progress professionally
  • Must have previous experience in a Sales or Customer Service role. Experience with Government contracts and proposal processes is a plus.
  • Highly professional and mature attitude
  • Extremely organized with high attention to detail
  • Experience and familiarity in US government contracting FAR requirements and business terms and conditions preferred.
  • US citizenship or permanent resident status is required.
  • 4 yr college degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Travel up to 10% may be required.
