Job Description

Hoefer Welker has an opening for an experienced Interior Designer with 8+ years of experience. This person will have an exceptional creative design portfolio and will collaborate in all phases of project design with a focus on conceptual design, programming, space planning, documentation, and selection of materials, finishes, furniture and artwork.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Overall knowledge of construction documentation and process
  • Extensive knowledge of healthcare materials and appropriate application of finishes
  • Possess interpersonal and client relation skills and the ability to handle multiple projects
  • Assist the Director of Healthcare Interiors and have Project Management experience
  • Ability to assist in production and development of design proposals
  • Overall knowledge of furniture specifications and budgets
  • Ability to lead client meetings regarding interior design issues and maintain client contact
  • Proficiency in Revit with experience in Revit rendering.

Job Requiremetns

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in the field of Architecture or Interior Design. 8+ years of relevant healthcare interiors project experience is desired. A creative design portfolio is required.

Certifications/Registrations:

  • AIA or NCIDQ certification or architectural registration preferred.

Qualifications:

The proper candidate will have excellent verbal and written communications skills, attention to detail, teamwork, presentation and organizational skills. Maintains cooperative working relationships, internally and externally, and possesses entrepreneurial spirit and has forward thinking attitude. Proficient with Revit and other computer design programs such as InDesign, Photoshop, Google Sketchup8 and 3D rendering are desired. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Physical Demands:

While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel and to manipulate a keyboard or computer mouse. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Vision abilities required for this job include close vision.
