Application Instructions:

The Data Architect is responsible for Sterling’s data architecture, data engineering, and data governance efforts. Reporting to the VP, Applications Development & Data Analytics, the scope of the role will include designing and managing the company's data infrastructure, including our data lake, data warehouse, and ETL solutions. This role will play a pivotal part in ensuring data quality, enabling master data management, and supporting the technology stack that drives our data-driven decision-making processes.



Position_Description :
  • Advise in the development of a comprehensive data strategy and IT investment roadmap that focuses on harnessing and integrating data effectively. Evaluate and recommend data technologies and solutions.
  • Design, Develop and implement the overall data architecture, including data sources, storage, pipelines, and data flow.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into data warehouses, data lakes, or other systems.
  • Develop and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for data integration, processing, and deployment.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Drive cross-functional collaboration with IT and business teams to ensure data platform initiatives are aligned with organizational goals.
  • Implement processes and systems to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
  • Implement best practices for data modeling, data governance, and data integration across cloud and on-premises environments.

  • 8+ years of experience implementing and supporting data architecture, data warehousing, and ETL processes utilizing tools such as Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake, or equivalent. (Fabric preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field or demonstration of equivalent work experience.
  • Strong grasp of emerging AI and ML technologies and how to integrate them into data solutions, highly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
