Position Summary:  

Comtech Systems, Inc. (CSI) is looking for a skilled Infrastructure Manager to oversee the operational readiness, maintenance, and performance of training delivery systems supporting one of our government clients in Columbia, MD. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee day-to-day operations and lifecycle management of cyber range systems, classroom IT infrastructure, and training platforms (e.g., Learning Management System (LMS), lab provisioning tools).
  • Ensure 99.9% uptime of training delivery systems and support platform maintenance, backup, recovery, and patching requirements.
  • Coordinate integration and availability of immersive lab environments aligned to the DCWF, NICE, and DoD 8140 frameworks.
  • Implement DoD 8500, NIST 800-171/53, and applicable DoD cybersecurity controls in coordination with the Information System Security Officer (ISSO).
  • Ensure physical and logical infrastructure readiness to support surge training, MTT, and remote delivery modes.
  • Supervise technical support personnel and liaise with the Lead Information Management and Training Platform Engineer for system upgrades, issue remediation, and user support.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and network diagrams to support audits and configuration management.
  • Manage hardware and software asset inventories, as well as procurement planning.
  • Assist in risk mitigation planning related to infrastructure continuity, disaster recovery, and cyber incident response.

 
Qualifications:? 

  • 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure or systems administration roles, including 2+ years managing DoD or Federal training systems.
  • DoD 8570 IAT II certification (e.g., Security+, CCNA, or equivalent); CISSP or CASP+ preferred.
  • Experience managing virtualized environments, cyber ranges, and enterprise-grade LMS platforms.
  • Familiarity with NIST 800-171/53, DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF), and FedRAMP compliance.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing and managing infrastructure supporting multiple concurrent virtual/physical classrooms and lab environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and project management skills, including experience with Agile or ITIL-based operations.
  • Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain.

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
