EagleView, the leader in aerial imagery, is hiring an Aviation Maintenance Technician III (AMT III) for our team. The AMT III will support large-scale aerial survey operations. Primary responsibilities will include interfacing with other AMTs, performing aircraft and camera system maintenance and installation in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s). The candidate will also be responsible for inspections, repairs, modifications, periodic maintenance, and service of aircraft and camera systems within the limits of the employee’s Federal Aviation Association (FAA) Airframe & Power Plant (A&P) with an Inspection Authorization (IA) certificate privileges with respect to FAA Part 91 operations.
• Work with a team of AMTs, and Flight Support personnel or individually, when necessary, to maintain and repair a fleet of aircraft fitted with camera systems, parts and components in accordance with FAA Part 91 operations.
• Perform tasks associated with Annual inspections, scheduled and unscheduled inspections and repairs and non-routine inspections and maintenance of PFA and Eagleview supplier leased and or owned aircraft.
• Perform software updates, fabricate, test, improve, maintain, modify and troubleshoot capture systems, system components, and hardware at a TC2-level
• Troubleshoot and assess the cause and effect of discrepancies, abnormalities, or safety concerns and report findings to the Logistics and Facilities Manager (LAFM) and or Sr. Aircraft Manager and or Flight Support Manager (FSM) if applicable. Complete appropriate signoff’s, reports, and documentation as required.
• Remove and install camera equipment per Eagleview (EV) Pacific Fleet Aviation (PFA) in accordance with (IAW) FAA regulations, guidelines and requirements.
• Complete all documentation of aircraft work in accordance with PFA, EV, and FAA Policies and Standards.
• Assist in fabricating, testing, and improving flight rig hardware.
• Create and maintain flight rig configuration files to ensure proper system function.
• Coordinate and perform system software updates independently.
• Perform high level maintenance of project data for software tracking, troubleshooting and data entry.
• Assist with inventory and shipping requirements as necessary.
• Perform tasks to assist in maintaining the hangar and facility equipment.
• Perform all tasks to a high standard of safety that meets or exceeds all PFA, FAA, and Occupation Safety Health Act (OSHA) requirements.
• Independently travel to off-site facilities to maintain, repair, modify, install, uninstall and troubleshoot aircraft and flight rigs in the field.
• Answer, log and escalate tech support calls from pilots to resolve flight rig issues to completion.
• Agree to be scheduled for on-call support for aircraft and camera flight systems on evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Agree to travel 30%-50% of the time. Heavier travel is weighted to certain times of the year.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) with an Inspection Authorization (IA) certificate.
• More than 5 years’ experience. (2 years of which exercising the privileges of their Inspection Authorization Certificate)
• Valid Driver’s license.
• High school diploma.
PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
• Experience working on General Aviation category aircraft.
• Experienced with FAA Part 91, Part 43, and Part 65, subpart D regulations.
• Experienced with reading and understanding maintenance manuals, Illustrated Parts catalogs (IPCs), Service Instructions, Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives (AD’s) wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Proficient with sheet metal fabrication and repair.
• Proficient technical and analytical troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills to communicate and troubleshoot issues over the phone with remote pilots/suppliers.
• Demonstrated independent strong work ethic and the ability to prioritize and adapt quickly.
• Technical competency with installing and troubleshooting computer hardware/software.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows and basic Linux command line knowledge.
• FAA Private Pilot certificate.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Normal, corrective vision range; ability to see color and to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
• Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, bend, and reach.
• Ability to reach with hands and arms.
• Able to occasionally lift or move 50 lbs.
• Able to travel long and short distances.
The compensation offered to the successful candidate will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s work experience, education and licenses, work-related training, key skills, the core duties of the role and its associated responsibilities, additional benefits offered, and the location where the work will be performed. This is a full-time position located in our Mesquite, TX. hangar with a base compensation range of $32.00 to $44.00 per hour.
