Position Title:Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) - North Carolina

Location: Wilmington, NC

Description:

The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is responsible for providing Applied Behavior Analysis to individuals with developmental disabilities, mental health disorders, and other behavioral challenges, aiming to improve their quality of life through effective behavior management strategies.

Essential Functions:

  1. Provides clinically appropriate Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services as dictated by the clinical needs of the client(s), to include assessment and/or therapy within the BCBA’s level of expertise. Seeks consultation and supervision from the clinical director as needed.
  2. Coordinates with clinic director on scheduling of clients based on needs
  3. Supervises the organization and operation of the ABA-based intervention programs of children on the BCBA’s caseload.
  4. Provides supervision to technicians (ABA line therapists and RBTs) that aligns with the BACB guidelines and is most clinically sound.
  5. Consults with the clinical team as needed to plan for treatment procedures, then implement treatment procedures with technicians according to ethical and practice guidelines of the BACB.
  6. Ensures all billing and medical notes are entered appropriately and in a timely manner.
  7. Schedules and meets with families on a regular basis to give updates on client progress, gather new information about client, create goals with families that are important to the families, and support families in meeting those goals through implementation of strategies that align with motivation of the families.
  8. Participates in Quality Assurance and supervision activities as directed by the clinical director.
  9. Attends relevant meetings as indicated by director.
  10. Fosters collaborative working relationships among members of the leadership and management teams and programs.
  11. Fosters a positive team culture and supports agency culture/morale.
  12. Coordinates and collaborates with other client stakeholders (speech and language therapists, occupational therapists)
  13. Engages in professional development to stay updated on the latest research and best practices in the field of behavior analysis.
  14. Adheres to all billing requirements and completes billing notes within expected timeframe.
  15. Keeps track of all billing and clock time.
  16. Adhere to a strict code of ethics, maintain client confidentiality, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  17. Other duties as assigned.



Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  1. Master’s degree in applied Behavior Analysis, Education, or Psychology
  2. Must possess and maintain Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
  3. Two (2) years’ experience working with individuals needing ABA interventions.
  4. Experience working with persons with autism and autism-like behaviors preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

  1. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal,
  2. strong organizational, time management, and follow up skills,
  3. ability to work under pressure, maintain accuracy, and meet deadlines.
  4. Ability to work with staff, participants, and the public in a professional and compassionate manner.
