Application Instructions:
The Business Solutions Analyst is responsible for the configuration, implementation, and support of the SaaS construction suite of applications utilized by Sterling’s E-Infrastructure and Transportation Solutions business segments. The Business Solutions Analyst reports to the Manager, Enterprise Applications, and partners with Sterling’s E-Infrastructure and Transportation Solutions business units to align technology services with business needs.
Position_Description :
Provide ongoing support including incident management, administration, performance monitoring, and configuration to business applications including products by Trimble, HCSS, and AutoDesk.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and vendors across E-Infrastructure and Transportation segments
Engage proactively with business units to understand their challenges and business needs, identifying opportunities where technology solutions can drive operational improvements
Facilitate regular alignment sessions with IT and segment business leaders to review demand and prioritize technology initiatives based on business impact, and alignment to both Operational objectives and Sterling’s Technology roadmap.
Collaborate with vendors to identify innovative solutions and industry best practices
Stay informed about vendor roadmaps and upcoming features, advocate for Sterling's interests in product development decisions
Lead troubleshooting efforts and resolve complex issues in collaboration with vendors and IT support teams
Recommend and implement enhancements to maximize functionality and user experience
Maintain comprehensive, up-to-date documentation on system configurations, processes, and support procedures
Coordinate application updates and patches to minimize business disruption
Partner with vendors, systems and application teams for application implementation and upgrade projects
Partner with development resources to ensure proper integration with existing systems and data sources

Demonstrated success in building strategic partnerships between IT and business operations
A solid understanding of business processes and challenges, as well as the ability to translate those needs into technical solutions.
Experience with application lifecycle management, from requirements to implementation.
Ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics and influence without direct authority and build consensus among diverse stakeholders
Project management experience with ability to coordinate cross-functional initiatives
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and customer-focused mindset.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across departments.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
8+ years of experience in IT with focus on business relationship management, application support, or similar roles
5+ years experience with business process improvement or digital transformation
Experience supporting construction industry applications (Trimble, HCSS, AutoDesk, or similar platforms), strongly preferred
