McCarthy is seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman to oversee the construction and installation of solar facilities.This is a full-time, site-based position that requiresextensive travelto locations that span the continental U.S. Travel subsistence and additional incentives provided per company guidelines.

The ElectricalForeman works closely with leadership to ensure safe and successful construction. The Foreman will support craft workers with their activities and provide day to day support in the field. The Foreman is also responsible for scheduling and coordinating activities with craft workers, inspecting work, and identifying issues and providing potential solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with General Foreman, Assistant Superintendents, and Project Superintendents to ensure timely, high quality, and successful completion of project
- Participate in job planning for work packages, site set-up, and construction schedules
- Estimate worker-hour requirement to meet the needs of construction plans
- Exhibit a high level of safety consciousness and a clear understanding of McCarthys safety guidelines
- Schedule/coordinate activities assigned craft workers while communicating and coordinating schedules with other trades
- Manage/supervises operation of equipment and machinery
- Inspect work in progress and completed work to ensure compliance with project specifications
- Interpret blueprints/constructions documents and plan construction activities accordingly
- Manage/assist skilled craft workers in performing their assigned duties under close supervision by staying with crews in working area unless called to office by superintendent
- Train/supervise workers on company policies, safety practices, regulations, and procedures
- Assist in recruiting skilled craft and tradespeople
- Manage and maintain tools supply for scope of work
- Time keeping and reporting of labor force hours
- Identify issues and provide solutions
- Complete Procore daily reports with pictures
- Communicate safety and quality issues to General Foreman
- Complete McCarthy EEO Policies training
- Complete McCarthy Foreman Development courses
- All other duties assigned by site leadership
Qualifications
- Electrical Journeyman License Required
- 5+ years of experience managing electrical craft throughout the duration of the project
- Superior knowledge of solar principles and processes
- Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies used on solar utility projects
- Proven commitment to safety
- Ability to follow directions from supervisor and communicate effectively communicate expectations to assigned crew to meet daily production quantities
- Ability to problem solve and draw conclusions
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, pushing, pulling of material weighing 50 lbs.
- Ability to squat, crawl and work in awkward positions and confined spaces.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and precipitation.
- Unrestricted use of hands, arms, shoulders, upper/lower back, visual acuity, depth, and color perception.
- Self-motivated and takes initiative
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment
- Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
