Position Title:Recovery Housing Site Manager - Pearl Mom & Baby

Location: Owensboro, KY

Description:

The Recovery Housing Site Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a residential sober living facility, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for residents in recovery. This individual will provide mentorship, guidance, and support to residents, promoting recovery through peer-led activities, empowerment, and shared experiences. The Site Manager will oversee facility management, enforce house rules, and collaborate with residents and staff to foster a sense of community while ensuring that operations run smoothly and effectively. This position will serve the Mom & Baby Recovery Housing residences.

Essential Functions:

  1. Oversees the daily operations of the sober living facility, ensuring that residents adhere to house rules, maintain a safe and respectful living environment, and participate in activities that support their recovery.
  2. Conducts orientation for new residents, ensuring they understand the rules, expectations, and available resources. Manages the intake process, including assessing eligibility, assisting with paperwork, and welcoming new residents into the community.
  3. Promotes a clean, safe, and supportive living environment that fosters recovery, accountability, and personal growth. Addresses any resident concerns or conflicts that may arise, ensuring that issues are resolved in a constructive manner.
  4. Serves as the lead peer support specialist, offering direct mentorship, emotional support, and encouragement to residents. Share lived experiences to inspire hope, build trust, and promote a culture of recovery.
  5. Supervises peers involved in the operation of the facility, providing guidance and support in carrying out day-to-day duties, monitoring resident progress, and ensuring program standards are maintained.
  6. Acts as the first point of contact for any crisis situations or emergencies. Provides immediate intervention, de-escalation, and ensure appropriate follow-up actions are taken.
  7. Ensures the facility is safe, clean, and well-maintained. Coordinates with maintenance personnel and contractors as needed for repairs and improvements.
  8. Maintains accurate and confidential records of resident progress, incidents, and program activities. Provides regular reports on facility operations, resident well-being, and any issues that require escalation.
  9. Ensures all residents are aware of and adhere to the facility’s rules and regulations. Addresses violations of house rules promptly and in accordance with facility policies.
  10. Fosters a positive, supportive community among residents, encouraging mutual respect, accountability, and the building of meaningful relationships. Facilitates group discussions and team-building activities to promote a strong recovery-oriented environment.
  11. Assists with managing the operational budget for the facility, including tracking supplies, food, and other expenditures to ensure financial efficiency.
  12. Prepares and submits regular reports to the Director of Recovery Housing regarding site performance, staffing, and client satisfaction.
  13. Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent is required. (Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field is a plus).
  2. Lived experience in recovery from substance use or addiction and certification as a peer support specialist required.
  3. At least 1 year of experience in facility or site management is preferred, ideally within the healthcare or behavioral health industry.

Required Skills:

  1. Demonstrated ability to lead by example, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to residents and staff. Ability to foster a positive and recovery-focused environment.
  2. Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills, particularly in high-pressure situations.
  3. A deep understanding of recovery principles, 12-step programs, and other recovery models. Familiarity with harm reduction strategies and recovery housing best practices.
