Position Summary:  

Comtech Systems, Inc. (CSI) is looking for a?Senior Instructional?Systems Designer?to develop training and development programs supporting one of our government clients in Columbia, MD. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Plan, develop, deliver, evaluate, and administer nontechnical training and development programs.?
  • Identify performance/behavior gaps, make recommendations, and provide solutions to improve business performance, increase retention, or develop future leaders.?
  • Determine costs/benefits and create high-impact, low-cost solutions.
  • Research externally available programs.?
  • Oversee the design and presentation of training programs.
  • Review and evaluate the effectiveness of programs.?
  • Conduct selected programs and serve as a technical resource for programs developed and presented.
  • Determine which training intervention will best meet the requirements or needs in each situation.?
  • Market the benefits of training and development of employees as a means of continually improving our workforce.?
  • Maintain relationships with line managers to be aware of potential training needs and to assist them in analyzing performance deficiencies with their employees.?
  • Ensures training effectiveness and return on investment (ROI) using multi-level tracking and measurement systems.

 
Qualifications:? 

  • Minimum of 10+ years of working experience in Instructional Systems Design.
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Must meet Cyber Instructional Curriculum Developer, Work Role ID 711 (NIST: OV-ED-001) standards:??https://public.cyber.mil/dcwf-work-role/cyber-instructional-curriculum-developer/
  • Experience supervising, coordinating, providing leadership to, and reviewing the work of assigned staff.?
  • Experience estimating staffing needs, assigning work, recommending candidates for employment, making recommendations for termination, conducting performance evaluations and salary reviews for assigned staff, and is responsible for the application of company policies.?
  • Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain.

Education: 

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with 8 - 10 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 6 - 8 years of experience.?
