Responsibilities:
The Lab/Simulation faculty will be expected to assist faculty with the consultation, creation, and execution of simulation and skills lab components for the undergraduate nursing program. The faculty may have additional responsibilities in other degree programs. The faculty will interact directly with students, faculty, staff, interprofessional colleagues, and vendors. This is a high-paced and dynamic environment that will require a willingness to learn new technologies and skills as they emerge. Rank and salary are commensurate with professional qualifications and experience. This is a non-tenure track full-time (9-month) faculty position.
Required Qualifications:
Master’s in nursing from an accredited university/college
Unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Georgia
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Philosophy commensurate with Mercer University's mission and values
Preferred Qualifications:
Doctorate in Nursing
Previous academic teaching experience
Previous healthcare simulation experience
Familiarity of INACSL Standards
Certification as a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator
Background Check:
Selection of final candidate is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check
Pay Rate:
Commensurate with experience
