PRIMARY PURPOSE

Provide personalized banking services ensuring the highest level of quality is provided to current and prospective clients. Responsible for a variety of duties which include supervising Universal Bankers and Part Time Tellers with daily operations. Has responsibility for a portion of the branch operations and duties relating to the opening and processing of new accounts; establishing and maintaining client relationships while effectively assessing client needs and recommending appropriate bank products and services.  Other responsibilities include providing onboarding and training to Universal Banking and Teller staff, conducting quarterly Core Proficiency reviews and the accurate processing of routine financial transactions for banking clients.     

STARTING SALARY: $44,000 annually

SCHEDULE: Monday - Saturday; varying; 37.5-hour work week

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years client service experience in a banking or financial institution environment.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory capacity preferred.
  • Prior teller experience required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Foster a relationship banking environment by successfully assessing client needs and recommending/advising appropriate bank products and services.
  • Open new business and personal accounts and perform maintenance on existing accounts as requested, follow established Bank policies and procedures.
  • Provide personalized banking services to current and prospective clients, consistently seek to expand and provide the highest-level client relationship and experience.
  • Facilitate client satisfaction and retention by successfully researching and resolving client issues and inquiries.
  • Provide first level supervision to Universal Bankers and Tellers ensuring that clients are serviced quickly and efficiently.
  • Review and maintain daily reports.
  • Partner with the Management team to complete monthly and quarterly audits; ensure branch and employees are prepared for audit.
  • Provide on-going training as necessary and complete Core Proficiency reviews for Universal Bankers and Tellers.
  • Assist in locating cash differences, ensure minimum proving differences and controllable losses.  Escalate matters to Retail Branch Management for further attention.
  • Responsible for maintaining set branch cash limit, at or below limit in addition to ensuring UB and Teller cash drawer limits are maintained and not over limit.
  • Perform teller duties, including advanced and complex transactions, handling special requests and investigating discrepancies in accordance with Bank policies and procedures ensuring clients are serviced quickly and efficiently.
  • Ensure all duties and responsibilities are performed in accordance with established Bank Regulations, policies and procedures including the Banks standard operating and security procedures are being adhered to with operational/security integrity.
  • Adhere to privacy and confidentiality policies when assisting clients in obtaining any account information.
  • Assist prospective borrowers; act as main point of contact for clients with the completion of loan applications, closing loans and prepare account loans.  
  • Appropriately order and maintain vault cash. Prove vault cash daily. Assist with Armored Truck service ensuring standard operating and security procedures. Prepare cash in and out shipments.
  • Prove daily journal transactions.
  • Initiate and confirm wire transfers within policy guidelines.
  • Reconcile ATM weekly and ensure proper equipment operation.
  • Available to travel within the branch network as needed to ensure adequate branch coverage.
  • Reconcile coin machine daily, ability to change coin bags, maintain cleanliness to ensure proper equipment operation.
  • Daily use of Cash Recycler to include maintenance as needed and proof as designated.
  • Provide notary services, signature guarantee and perform supervisory overrides for UB and/or Teller transactions.
  • Other duties assigned by Retail Bank management.

  • Strong basic math skills.
  • Working knowledge of banking software and/or ability to be trained and quickly learn.
  • Working knowledge of bank products and services and/or ability to be trained and quickly learn.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Working conditions are those of an “open” office environment, which can require the ability to manage some stress such as noise level from clients, employees, and general office equipment, etc.  Daily use of wrists, hands, and fingers: to use computer, telephone, fax, copier, and general office equipment.  Ability to hear and speak clearly for gathering simple to complex information from both clients and co-workers.  Sitting for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours), standing and walking up to 15% of work time.  Ability to bend and lift coin boxes/bags, up to approximately 30lbs.  Ability to operate a motor vehicle for travel within branch network.
