Purpose of the Role:

As Vice President Group HR Automation & Data, you will shape and lead the global harmonization of people-related processes and their digital enablement across DHL Group. While you will work closely with divisions currently leveraging our global HR platforms, your impact spans across all business units – supporting integration, simplification, and excellence in how HR services are delivered.

You will lead a team of approximately 20 professionals based across Europe (mainly Bonn, partially Belgium, Czech Republic, UK) and India. You will oversee key digital platforms that support employee data administration (EDA; Oracle Fusion), administrative pre-boarding, and automation across DHL Group. These enterprise-grade solutions are being implemented globally across regions and divisions.

Key Responsibilities

Group EDA Process Automation

  • Develop and govern a multi-year roadmap for the harmonization and automation of HR administrative processes (focus on CHRIS/eHR divisions)
  • Align with divisional strategies (e.g. myHR from DHL Supply Chain; next-generation EDA from Post & Parcel), aiming for a Group-wide standard
  • Drive prioritization and roll-out across Tier 1/2/3 countries

Group Administrative Pre-Boarding

  • Define and own the product and vision for administrative pre-boarding across Avature-using divisions
  • Develop a global template and rollout strategy, ensuring local relevance and a strong candidate experience
  • Lead implementation in close collaboration with Divisions, service partners (e.g. HR Services, ITS), and external vendors

Group Employee Data Admin. (EDA) Platforms

  • Manage the CHRIS global template and drive technical convergence with eHR
  • Oversee the functional roadmap for Oracle Fusion, including Oracle Journey and Process Automation
  • Coordinate continuous improvement efforts with HRS delivery teams

Group People Data

  • Own the product vision for the Shared Data Hub 2.0
  • Ensure high-quality data (completeness, consistency, accuracy) in collaboration with IT and Analytics teams
  • Drive stakeholder alignment around data usability and governance

Group Payroll and Time & Attendance Strategy (starting mid-2026)

  • Design a global payroll strategy extending beyond HRS-served countries (Tier-based archetypes, platform alignment, HRS anchoring)
  • Shape DHL Group’s positioning and strategic direction in the domain of Time & Attendance

Cross-Cutting Responsibilities

  • For topics in scope, prepare discussions and facilitate decision-making for HR Board meetings
  • Chair the Group HR Core Council with divisional leaders responsible for digital HR platforms and transformation
  • Serve as senior stakeholder interface to global vendors (Oracle, Avature, and others)
  • Oversee project and portfolio delivery, including financial management (> EUR 10m budget)
  • Support the expansion of the department’s footprint (especially in India and Hungary)

Profile Requirements

Professional Experience

• Proven leadership in designing and applying digital HR solutions to enable and scale people-related processes, ideally in a multinational or matrix organization.

• Experience in leading global platform transformations (Oracle Fusion, Avature, automation & ticketing providers, etc.)

• Sound understanding of co-determination and regulatory processes, including works council negotiations

• Background in consulting, enterprise architecture, or global HR operations is a plus

Personality & Leadership

• Strategic, yet hands-on leader, confident in navigating complex organizational environments

• Excellent stakeholder manager with a collaborative, diplomatic, and assertive style

• Strong team player who values transparency, trust, and shared success

• Transformational mindset with a bias for action and simplification

Skills & Capabilities

  • Strong grasp of people-related processes and how to enable them through automation and digital design, in line with DHL Group Strategy 2030 and the aspiration to provide "best-in-class HR processes"
  • Deep knowledge of the multinational HR IT landscape
  • Intrinsic curiosity and commitment to exploring emerging technologies, including next-gen and agentic AI
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking
  • Experienced in managing large vendor ecosystems and budgets
  • Passionate about developing talent and leading high-performing, international teams
  • Fluency in both German and English is mandatory. Candidates must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
