An exciting opportunity has arisen to join DHL Supply Chain New Zealand in a Transport Business Development Manager role reporting through to the General Manager of Business Development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Actively seek out domestic transport opportunities
• Lead sales opportunities from woe to go
• Understand customers’ needs and work with the team to build solutions and proposals to meet the client’s requirements
• Contract negotiations, preparation and management
• Bring on board and initiate operational solutions for clients
• Lead and support the effective coordination of Business Development activities with other key functional areas

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE?

• Self-motivated, proactive, energetic, results oriented, ability to easily move between working by yourself to working with the team.
• Understanding of the New Zealand logistics market
• Broad commercial knowledge and acumen
• Open and effective communication skills – verbal and written, as this is critical to the success of this role
• Professionalism in presentation – dress and manner when meeting, and liaising with Client
• Advanced PC skills within the Microsoft Office suite
• Ideally you will have 5+ years’ experience in a sales role.
