Job Summary
Responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of IT polices and systems, managing IT budgets, and ensuring the security and efficiency of our IT infrastructure. Ensure IT initiatives support the overall business strategy. This involves working closely with other department heads and understanding the organization's long-term objectives. The role involves all internal and client-facing security, systems, applications, network, and cloud objectives.
Responsibilities
Responsible for developing and implementing IT strategies that align with the company's strategic objectives
Sets annual targets related to IT operations and monitors the overall performance of the entire department.
Ensures the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions
Communicates with the clients for service level agreements and ensures that they are annually met.
Prepares an annual business plan for the IT department by coordinating with other departmental heads and other IT management. Also accountable for the overall financial health of the IT department.
Ensures that the IT department operates within established frameworks and complies with all regulatory requirements.
A significant part of the role involves leading and managing the IT team. Recruiting, training, and mentoring with the goal of building a competent and motivated team.
Produces detailed time line for each application release and implements effective project control by monitoring the progress of the software release and reporting the status
Directs and Advocates for the organization's IT vision and direction via regular communications with the company's executives and clients
Participates on all hardware and software evaluations and maintains vendor contracts
Performs liaison duties between users, operations, and programming personnel in the areas of systems design, modifications or trouble shooting
Skillsand Requirements
8 years of varied technology experience including relationships at the senior management or executive level.
Bachelor's Degree in Information Services or related field, or comparable work experience in technology
Technical experience with information system technology, service oriented architecture, telecommunications, network and PC operating systems, application, and project management.
Proven experience in IT infrastructure management, planning and development.
Proven leadership skills to coach, mentor, and guide the IT team to successfully meet the needs of the organization.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as good negotiation and relationship building skills.
This position may require registration with the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) and/or other gaming jurisdictions in which we operate.
