Physical Requirements

40 hours per week with additional on-call and evening shifts as-needed
Job Summary
The General Surgery APP collaborates with a multidisciplinary healthcare team and functions as a member of the Endocrine management team. This requires managing all aspects of patients from admission to the operating room, discharge, and outpatient follow-up.
The APP is integral in the ambulatory setting providing consultation for new, established, and post-operative patients. In some instances, the APP may assess patients in the inpatient setting, as well as assist in the operating room, working in collaboration with the attending surgeon.
The APP has a strong foundation in evidence-based practice and education. The APP demonstrates advanced medical and nursing knowledge, clinical and technical competency, sound clinical judgment, professionalism as it relates to interpersonal and general communication skills, timely and compliant documentation, and takes responsibility for ongoing professional development and competency validation.
