Required License/Registration/Certification
Nationally certified Pharmacy Technician by either PTCB (PTCE) or NHA (ExCPT); Registered with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire.
Physical Requirements
May require sitting or standing for > 5hrs at a time; considerable walking may be required; ability to reach items above shoulder level and lift approximately 25lbs.
Shift
Day Shift, Monday through Friday; 7:00am – 5:00pm. Hours and days of the week are subject to change based on the needs and growth of the department. Additional days and hours may be required per departmental needs.
Job Summary
This position is responsible for the procurement and inventory management of all medications in the University of Kentucky Specialty Pharmacy. This individual will also maintain an adequate inventory of supplies to support specialty pharmacy mail order operations and ambulatory infusion center operations. Responsible for interacting with our contracted 340B split-billing software vendor to placing 340B compliant orders on a routine basis. Will also interact with our drug wholesaler, multiple secondary suppliers, and directly with manufacturers to maintain and create new WAC and 340B accounts.
