Job Summary
The STEPS Industrial Hygiene Technician team member has primary responsibility for evaluating chemical fume hoods and other local exhaust ventilation controls utilized within the laboratories. Readings will be taken then work orders submitted if out of range for specifications.
Other job duties include:
- Performs Indoor Air Quality requests by request
- Maintains industrial hygiene equipment by performing monthly/annual calibration and tracks equipment maintenance needs
- Maintains all databases associated with these tasks to demonstrate regulatory compliance
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Office365, MS Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Ability to learn proprietary database for tracking various equipment needs. Chemistry Safety Training will be required.
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? NoPreferred Education/Experience
Prefer chemistry or laboratory background, but not required. If one has an interest in the occupational health field or industrial hygiene, training can be provided.
