Assignments and Leasing Coordinator



The Office of Business, Hospitality and Auxiliary Services (BHAS) leads the University's foundational business services and is one of the many units under Finance and Operations. BHAS performs critical services to ensure our students, staff, faculty, and visitors have exceptional experience on campus including,

  • All residence halls and University-owned leased apartments
  • 23+ dining locations across campus
  • Hospitality services, including camps and conferences, the University Club, and Heinz Memorial Chapel
  • University Logistics, including student and campus mail, surplus property, campus printing, and moving services
  • Campus Mobility, including parking lots and garages, campus shuttles, and commuting opportunities
  • Panther Central – the University’s one-stop shop for all campus needs including ID cards
  • Campus retail operations, including three on-campus stores - The University Store on Fifth, Maggie & Stella's Cards & Gifts, and The Pitt Shop

Job Summary

Manages all aspects of University owned housing and leasing processes. Coordinates software; performs data analysis; serves as liaison; and resolves high-level issues.


Essential Functions
  • Manages all aspects of University-owned housing and leasing assignments including, but not limited to, room selection and retention, the housing application process, auto-allocation, special assignments, billing processes, early arrivals, late departures, and all room changes and cancellations.
  • Advises and serves as liaison between residents/tenants, guardians, and related departments to resolve high-level issues; arranges special requests, accommodations, and arrivals/departures with appropriate personnel.
  • Coordinates housing and accommodation management software; troubleshoots and resolves related issues appropriately.
  • Develops and implements policies and procedures related to assignment/leasing processes.
  • Assists with generating reports, creating a campus housing marketing plan, analyzing data, tracking trends, and preparing revenue projections; distributes and presents findings.
