General Summary:

The Graduate Assistant (GA) provides critical administrative and operational support to the Occupational Therapy (OT) Program while developing leadership, management, and professional skills applicable to future OT practice. The GA works closely with program leadership to meet ongoing programmatic, accreditation, fieldwork, and outreach needs.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with maintenance and updates to the OT Program website.
  • Develop and disseminate marketing materials for advising and recruitment events.
  • Provide clerical support for alumni engagement and fundraising (e.g., donor mailings, newsletters).
  • Coordinate logistics for events such as orientation, graduation, and student honors induction.
  • Support administrative tasks for the OT Fieldwork Office.
  • Input data into fieldwork software systems.
  • Generate reports for accreditation-related processes (Program Evaluation & Annual Report).
  • Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications:

Strong interpersonal and written communication.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and Google Drive.

Ability to learn new software systems.

Accurate and efficient keyboarding.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Familiarity with university systems and research tools.
