Part time position in our Legacy repackaging area. Repackaging of non sterile pharmaceuticals, including tablets, capsules, and liquids. Also bar code labeling for all Legacy hospitals. Pharmacy Purchasing experience required. 

 



Responsibilities

The Central Pharmacy & Repackaging Technician works under minimal supervision to perform duties in a central location to streamline the ordering process, ensure product standardization, and ensure barcode-ready product for bedside medication scanning across all Legacy facilities.  Medications received in bulk form will be repackaged into unit of use packages with a bar code for scanning at the bedside.  Medications with low volume may be stored on site and shared throughout the system in unit of use packages in small quantities.

 



Qualifications

Education:

High School diploma or equivalent required.

 

Experience:

One to three years previous experience in pharmacy purchasing required.

 

Skills:

  • Ability to prioritize work and maintain a high level of accuracy and accountability.
  • Working knowledge of basic purchasing safety checks.
  • Basic understanding of pharmacy purchasing terms.
  • Working knowledge of billing processes.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.
