Position Summary: 

Comtech Systems, Inc. (CSI) is looking for a?Network Engineer supporting one of our government clients in Columbia, MD. 

Responsibilities: 

• Utilize Network Engineering, System Administration, and command-line Linux skills to maintain a comprehensive and robust multi-server network.
• Manage the overall operational health of a customer network; must be a self-starter to lead technical efforts across organizations
• Support the design and infrastructure of the network with a future overhaul planned

• Create and maintain accounts, troubleshoot at all levels

 
Qualifications:? 

• Relevant experience must be in computer or information systems design/development, programming, information/cyber/network security, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, computer forensics, information assurance, and/or systems engineering. Additionally, must have experience in network or system administration.
• Current experience with management of virtualized infrastructure, including multi-node and multi-site networks
• Recent experience with Linux and Windows operating systems (command line a must)
• Thorough knowledge of Secure the Enterprise (STE)/Secure the Network (STN), Risk Management Framework (RMF) to ensure system compliance.
• Recent experience with containerization, Docker, and/or Kubernetes is a plus.
• Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain.

Education: 

• Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree plus 6 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 10 years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma/GED plus 12 years of relevant experience may be considered.
• Degree must be in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
