Business Development Manager - SME
ASC Engineered Solutions is seeking a Project Pursuit Subject Matter Expert – Data Centers/Advanced Manufacturing to lead strategic business development efforts across a defined geographic region. This role is instrumental in expanding ASC’s footprint in high-growth sectors—particularly data centers and advanced manufacturing—by identifying, engaging, and influencing key project stakeholders including owners, engineers, and contractors.
With a strong focus on specification influence and market intelligence, the Project Pursuit SME will implement ASC’s market box strategy to enhance our presence in both master and project specifications, while ensuring a smooth handoff of qualified opportunities to the commercial sales team.
How You Will Help
Serve as an internal expert on data center construction and operations.
Identify and pursue project opportunities by leveraging relationships with top contractors
Lead strategic efforts in billion-dollar projects spanning millions of square feet
Collaborate with engineering teams and contractors to specify and position products for inclusion in major data center projects
Work closely with industry associations to stay ahead of trends and connect with influential speakers and decision-makers.
Maintain and expand a pipeline of upcoming data center projects, including timelines, specifications, and key contacts.
What You Will Bring
10+ years of experience in a business development or project management role
Proven experience in project management, sales, or engineering within the mechanical or fire protection space
Deep understanding of construction processes and product requirements for large-scale facilities.
Strong network of contacts among contractors, engineers, and facility owners.
Ability to translate technical product knowledge into strategic market opportunities.
Compensation
The base salary range for this position is $140,000.00 - $190,000.00 USD annually*.
