Position: Lecturer
Description:
The Department of Anthropology at Princeton University is accepting applications for a lecturer position in environmental anthropology and/or the social studies of science and technology for the 2025-2026 academic year, with an expected start date of September 1, 2025. Responsibilities include teaching four courses: an introductory environmental anthropology course and three thematic courses in the candidate's area of expertise. Additionally, the lecturer will mentor undergraduate students working on their senior theses. An advanced degree in anthropology or a related field is required. Work at the intersection of the environment, science, technology, medicine, and public policy is of great interest, and prior teaching experience at the college or university level is preferred. Expected Salary Range: $81,700 - $86,000
The University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's qualifications, work experience, education/training, key skills, market, collective bargaining agreements as applicable, and organizational considerations when extending an offer. The posted salary range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate for a full-time position; salaries for part-time positions are pro-rated accordingly.
