Job Summary
This faculty position is in Public Health Informatics Advocacy and Practice. The individual in this position will be expected to be dedicated to public health informatics and education, and should have a strong background in community health improvement through policy, advocacy, and applied research. Subject matter expertise will include data visualization, data integration, data capture system design and implementation, analysis of surveillance and electronic health data, and expertise related to public health issues affecting Kentucky residents (e.g., opioid use disorder, maternal health and morbidity challenges, improving healthcare access for rural populations, and the role of Medicaid policy in improving public health outcomes).

This tenure-track position requires the faculty member to engage in activities necessary for promotion and tenure, including teaching, applied health research, and service. The successful candidate will negotiate an annual distribution of effort with the Chair of the Department of Biostatistics. This ensures that sufficient time and resources are allocated to meet both the promotion requirements and the objectives of the Department of Biostatistics.
