Summary
Operations Regulatory Compliance Specialists play a critical role in ensuring Allegiant remains continually aligned with regulatory requirements. This position reports to the Manager of Operations Regulatory Compliance, and assists with maintaining the analysis, oversight, incorporation, and reporting of all applicable regulatory changes, correspondence and program participation between the company and regulatory agencies.

Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Education Details: B.S. Aviation Management, Government Affairs' or equivalent work experience.
Years of Experience: Minimum two (2) years of experience in 14 CFR Part 121 safety or regulatory management/oversight.

Valid/Unexpired Driver's License: Yes
•Broad knowledge of regulatory parts affecting 14 CFR Part 121 air carriers engaging in supplemental, domestic and flag operations.
•Knowledge of regulatory change processes, advisory circulars, 8900.1, INFO's, SAFO's, etc.
•Knowledge of FAA flight standards and voluntary programs.
•Knowledge of 14 CFR Part 5 Safety Management Systems.
•Knowledge of FAA Compliance and Enforcement programs.
•Experience interacting with regulatory agencies involved in air transportation oversight.
•Proficiency in MS Office applications.
•Proficiency in regulatory research and formal and/or technical writing.
•Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
•Analytical skills and attention to detail.
•Ability to multitask and handle multiple deliverables at one time.
Preferred Requirements
•FAA certification: Commercial Pilot, A&P or Dispatch certificate.
Job Duties
•Utilizing the Allegiant compliance management system, continually participate in the intake, dissemination and change management of new and/or amended regulatory parts.
•Maintain and update internal compliance management databases to track the status of company compliance with all regulatory directives and correspondence.
•Investigate and respond to all formal requests for information from regulatory entities.
•Maintain current databases of FAA Data Collection Tools (DCT’s) to ensure company FAA approved or accepted operating manuals remain in compliance.
•Participate in manual change processes and facilitate operating manual reviews between internal stakeholders and external regulators.
•Assist the Manager of Operations Regulatory Compliance (M-ORC) with the administration of the FAA Voluntary Disclosure Reporting Program for all operational departments.
•Ensure the Allegiant Operations Specifications (OpSpecs) remain current and electronically updated, and that required OpSpec changes are facilitated with the Allegiant FAA Certificate Management Office (CMO).
•Produce various regulatory deliverables in association with large scale/major change in operating authority certification projects.
•Participate in industry and/or regulatory oversight meetings and continuing education programs, maintaining close liaison with the FAA, NTSB, and industry organizations and trade associations.
•Actively participate in the safety risk/change management process as a regulatory SME to ensure that compliance with federal regulations and industry best practice is incorporated into operational process change.
•Prepare and submit required daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting to ensure compliance with all FAA reporting requirements.
•Assist with quality assurance oversight of responses to applicable safety and regulatory program comprehensive change proposals.
•Assist with or perform standalone compliance data analysis reviews and visualization projects.
•Present compliance overviews and program highlights to senior department leadership, as requested.

Office - While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, key board, printer, and phone. May be required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 20 lbs. May be required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation. Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones, printers, and foot traffic), temperature and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Some travel may be a requirement of the role.
