Are you a dynamic, enthusiastic leader who loves working with students and supporting them in building strong organizations and meaningful events? As the Coordinator for Student Organization Advising (CS25-282), you'll be the go-to resource for advising and supporting two Fraternity and Sorority Life governing councils- National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) , Interfraternity Council (IFC) , Panhellenic Council , or United Greek Council -as well as high-impact student organizations.
You'll serve as a key advisor and mentor, helping organizations develop and implement programs, create leadership opportunities, and build a more inclusive campus community. You'll lead trainings aligned with the SIU System's Anti-Racism, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (ADEI) Leadership Certificate Program, collaborate with other campus departments, and help foster a campus culture that thrives on collaboration, growth, and student leadership.

What You Will Do:
- Advisor Extraordinaire: Serve as the primary resource for advising and supporting two governing Greek councils and high-impact student organizations. You'll be their go-to guide for all things leadership, organization development, and event planning.
- Training & Development: Plan, organize, and implement leadership training for organization leaders, aligning with the SIU System's ADEI Leadership Certificate Program. You'll collaborate with the Inclusive Education and Training Coordinator to make sure the training is meaningful and impactful.
- Collaboration Central: Meet regularly with chapter advisors, campus advisors, and other student organization representatives to ensure everyone is on the same page and moving forward together. Building relationships is key!
- Budget Boss: Help manage the budgets for specific organizations and councils, making sure they're using their resources wisely to maximize their impact on campus.
- Signature Event Planner: Support the planning and implementation of high-impact events like Greek Week, leadership conferences, and student-run activities that engage the entire SIUE community.
- Student Org Cheerleader: Serve as an advisor for student organizations and committees connected to KHub. You'll help them thrive and provide them with the tools they need for success.
- Community Builder: Help foster a sense of belonging and inclusivity for all students by supporting activities and events that create opportunities for students to connect and grow together.

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications-Bachelor's degree
-1+ years progressively responsible experience with Fraternity and Sorority Life, student activities and leadership, ADEI training and development initiatives, community engagement, and /or event management
Preferred Qualifications:-Master's degree in related field (Higher Education Student Affairs, College Student Personnel, Public Administrations, Business Administration, Psychology, Communication Studies, Marketing/Public Relations, Social work, or a closely related field)
-Affiliation with a fraternity or sorority
-Prior experience with operational and staff supervision
-Experience with facilitating training sessions developing ADEI knowledge
-Experience with implementing leadership training curriculum
-Experience advising or supervising students
Understanding that the position will require some nights and weekends in addition to/flexible with listed work hours.
